Pioneering structured esports education in India, desportz is India’s First Institute of Esports Training & Academics. Founded in Vadodara, Gujarat, with a vision to build a Pan-India and globally recognized ecosystem for esports education, desportz was established to transform gaming into a meaningful platform for learning, skill development, and innovation.
We believe esports is far more than competitive gaming. Through structured academic programs, professional coaching, experiential learning, and global collaborations, we empower students to develop strategic thinking, teamwork, communication, leadership, discipline, digital responsibility, and other future-ready skills in a safe, inclusive, and professionally guided environment.
As a young and evolving institution, desportz is continuously expanding its network of academic, industry, and international collaborations to strengthen esports education and create meaningful learning opportunities for students across India. Our state-of-the-art campus in Vadodara serves as a hub for esports learning, offering specialized training for aspiring players, structured academic programs, coach development initiatives, and industry-oriented education designed to prepare learners for the rapidly evolving esports ecosystem.
Beyond esports, our vision extends to creating holistic learning pathways for students. Through our Sports Education vertical, we promote structured learning and skill development in traditional sports, while our Overseas Education vertical supports students in exploring international academic opportunities and achieving their global education aspirations.

Like countless young gamers, I spent hours playing because I loved the challenge, the competition, and the excitement. But during those years, I also experienced the reality that many players still face today—there was no structured pathway to learn, improve, or understand the larger world of esports. Most of us relied on trial and error, online videos, or advice from friends, with very little professional guidance.
That journey inspired one simple question: What if aspiring gamers had the same structured learning opportunities as athletes in traditional sports?
That question became one of the driving forces behind desportz.
Today, my mission is to help build an ecosystem where every aspiring gamer has access to professional coaching, quality education, experienced mentors, and a community that believes in their potential. Whether someone dreams of becoming a better player or simply wants to learn and grow through gaming, they deserve an environment that supports their journey.
As someone who belongs to this generation, I understand the aspirations, challenges, and passion of today’s gamers. My commitment is to ensure that desportz continues to innovate, embrace new technologies, and create opportunities that help young people turn their passion into purpose.

Joseph Cha
Joseph Cha is a curriculum developer and instructional designer at Gen.G, with a Masters in Education from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego. He was also the co-founder of Prepable Learning and authored a book on AP Biology. Joseph has also created over ten curriculums for various institutions with a student-centric focus and has helped students overcome many educational challenges. Joseph’s experience and work in educational programming throughout California and Asia have provided him with a comprehensive understanding of effective learning design.
